UNDERSTANDING ELIGIBILITY

Please go through the following important information to check your eligibility for The Laurens Baudains Scholarship. Read the guidance carefully to help you with your application:
- You must be a resident of the island of Jersey for at least five years to apply for these funds.
- You must be in one of these three categories:
- 1. You have received an offer to study at a recognised university, higher or further education institution on Jersey or elsewhere
- 2. You are studying now at such an institution
- 3. You are in an accredited apprenticeship scheme
- You must be in need of financial support.
- Your application should be submitted on or before the deadline that is on the front page of this website.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Ready to apply? We suggest that you prepare the materials as listed below, and the complete the online application form.
- Provide personal details and information about your proposed/current study.
- State the amount of financial assistance you’re seeking from The Laurens Baudains Scholarship Trust.
- Write a short personal statement on why you need the support, how your course of study will help both you to achieve your goals, and will help the island and community of Jersey from which you come.
- Identify a referee to whom the Trust may reach out to confirm that the information you are providing is accurate.

Submitting Your Application
Once you’re satisfied with your application, confirm that you understand and accept the eligibility criteria and agree that decisions taken by the Trustees are confidential and final, then submit your application.
Notification of Receipt
Upon successful submission, you’ll receive an email confirmation and a PDF copy of your application. If you don’t receive an email within 24h, contact us at [email protected]
Review and Notification
Post-deadline, all applications will be reviewed confidentially and considered equally by our trustees and their advisors. Updates will not be provided during this period.
